Every month here at Alice PR we will be posting our stand-out #PRMomentsOfTheMonth. We’ve asked around the office and below are our top three. What’s yours? Let us know in the comments section.
1. Clinton v Trump – The American Presidential Election
Back in 2008 the Obama Presidential campaign made history. Not only was he the first African American to be elected president, but he was also the first presidential candidate to effectively use social media as a major campaign strategy. He was Elaine’s first follower on Twitter!
These days, if you haven’t got social media nailed, you might as well forget the election. As this shot shows, the PR team didn’t even have to do any work themselves; the power of the ‘selfie’ did it for them.
During the week, six members of the Anti-Austerity Alliance and People Before Profit initiative were seen wearing ‘REPEAL’ sweatshirts during Leader’s Questions to show support for the campaign to repeal the 8th amendment.
We at Alice PR are delighted to count the Coalition to Repeal the Eighth Amendment as one of our clients. They now have over 60 organisations representing over 1.5 million people nationwide.
If you want to join the TDs and show your support by donning a branded sweatshirt, I’m afraid you’ll have to wait. They store is currently sold out:
“Currently sold out, our store is opening again soon, thank you for all the support so far in making this issue seen and heard.”
Whether you’re #TeamJen or not, this story is messy and also unavoidable but you’d have to be a stone not to crack a smile on seeing the ad by Norwegian.com. They were so quick off the mark to publish this great, clever ad the day after the split was announced.
We’ll share our top three #PRMomentsOfTheMonth on the last Friday of every month. Please share yours with us too!
