From disco to data, we’ve been pretty hectic at Alice PR this week, but never fear, we always find time have some fun too! 😉 Find out what’s tickled us this week below!

On the plate:

The Dress for Success Dublin Disco Brunch was on Sunday and much fun was had by all. The event was part of the Equal Pay Day campaign and Martina, Emily and Niamh all went along to Medley by Andrew Rudd and enjoyed a delicious brunch and great tunes while also raising over €3,000 for Dress for Success Dublin which will go towards supporting women back into the workforce.

Alice PR, disco_brunchThe Alice PR team retired to one of the best “old man” pubs in town, Bowe’s, for a relaxing drink to finsh off and toast another successful Alice event.

Niamh went to Bunsen on Saturday for a burger. It wasn’t her first and won’t be her last seemingly! So reliable – she says their cheese burger definitely is the best she’s had in Dublin. Yum!Alice PR, Nailler9

On the list:

Christmas is definitely on the way and Martina had the pleasure of going to the ‘Arnott’s Christmas Shopping Experience’, where she enjoyed some free prosecco and hot chocolate, while browsing Christmas presents (mostly for herself – much deserved!) in one of her favourite stores.

Ciara is putting us all to shame with her Christmas planning and organisation. She has spent the week putting up the Christmas tree and sorting decorations laying them out, then grouping them in threes if you were wondering! Meanwhile Elaine is still considering moving on from Halloween…

Out and about:

We were busy with the successful ‘Travel Meets Big Data’ event last weekend, as well as working with the Show Racism the Red Card campaign, Ballymun Local Drugs and Alcohol Task Force, and #LoveIrishResearch but as per Ciara’s latest blog, we also managed to achieve work / life balance.Alice PR, Marlfield House

Emily was really living it up and took herself off to Marlfield House in Wexford on Sunday night with her two sisters and her mammy for their annual Brennan girls night away. The hotel is on a gorgeous wooded estate just outside Gorey and was really cosy with roaring fires. They admit to eating their body weight in food and a good time was had by all.

Ciara and family went to an icy Marlay Park on Sunday and visited their farmers’ market and had hotdogs and hot chocolate for brunch. They took a walk around the walled garden and Ciara’s son Jack visited the aviary and the chicken coop there. They topped off the morning with a visit to the Christmas Craft Fair that was taking place in the house.

Elaine went along to a candlelit walk in Avondale House and Forest Park in Wicklow. The local GAA club, Ballinacor organise the annual fundraiser. It was fabulous and absolutely mobbed. Always pleasant and well organised.

On the screen:

Niamh went to the cinema to see ‘Light between Oceans’ – the same film Emily saw last week. She was a bit disappointed – though she loves Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander, she thought the story line was just a bit slow.

Elaine is enjoying the yearly encounters with Ant and Dec and the exploits of celebrities immersed in the jungle on ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’. She’s backing Larry Lamb to win, though Scarlett is doing very well too.

The bid for Ireland to host the 2023 Rugby World Cup with a video narrated by Liam Neeson was launched and the result is spine-tingling!

That’s what tickled Alice PR this week. What have you been up to? Have you any recommendations? Let us know in the comments below.
