Another sunny summer week in Dublin has brought lots of good food, drink, and adventures to #TeamAlice. With another passing week comes plenty of new recommendations for the best destinations in Dublin and beyond.

Out and about:
-Emily spent her Sunday being a queen at endurance while she participated in the Leinster Loop, a 100km cycling race through Carlow, Wicklow and Laois. We here at #TeamAlice are continually impressed by Emily’s athletic feats! She says that she would definitely do the race again, and that it had a lovely atmosphere.

Bri exploring the UK-While not exactly Dublin, Bri took a trek across the channel to pay a visit to Birmingham in the UK. She met her cousins for the first time, and enjoyed a picnic in the park with them. She says that the weather was nice, the sun was shining, and she enjoyed her fair share of drinks while she was there!

-Katie is maximizing her time in Ireland as much as she can, and we credit her for having enough energy to try to fit everything in! On Saturday, she travelled up to the Dublin hills to take a leisurely horseback ride through the woods. She also explored some of Phoenix Park on Sunday, and visited the Dublin Zoo. While the animals were too busy beating the summer heat indoors, Katie said she can’t exactly blame them.

-Darragh enjoyed an open air theatre production of “Sense and Sensibility” in Monaghan after enjoying Pride the day before. He said it had “the most beautiful surroundings”!

On the plate:

-On Saturday, Emily tried a Poké bowl at Poké and while delicious, she did say they are a wee pricey!

-Martina spent her Sunday in Dalkey lunching in De Ville’s and enjoying half-price cocktails, and then spending her afternoon at the Dalkey Duck. She said that the ambiance was excellent, and the beer garden was a former orchard, so the views were absolutely lovely.

Team Alice at the Dáil Bar!-Some of the Alice team were at Leinster House  on Wednesday working with Dress For Success Dublin on the launch of their cross-party working group on workplace equality, and took to the Dáil Bar for some premium Oireachtas vino and chicken goujons after. It was quite fab, and I think it was safe to say everyone was enjoying themselves!

On the screen:

-Bri has spent the last few weeks binging on the popular American TV show “Jane the Virgin”, and is almost already finished watching Season 4, which was recently added on Netflix.

-Martina has been watching “Glow” on Netflix, an essential treat before bed that is short but light-hearted. It is easy watching, and Martina is really enjoying it!

Need new recommendations for binge-worthy TV? Try Queer Eye!-Darragh is watching Season 2 of Queer Eye, and is loving that it is “equally as funny and heart-warming” as Season 1. I think more than a couple of us here at #TeamAlice would love to meet the Fab Five!

That’s all for this week—check back next week for more of #WhatTickledAlice!
