We’re in jubilant mood this Monday at Alice PR, as we spent Friday night at the 2019 Event Industry Awards, where we won the ‘Best Launch Event’ category for our work on the launch of the Together for Yes campaign.

Martina, Eva, Emily, Niamh and Darragh represented #TeamAlice at the awards ceremony.  We were thrilled to be joined for the night by Ailbhe Smyth, former co-Director of Together for Yes and one of Ireland’s best-known feminist activists.

Ailbhe has been a client and friend of Alice PR since the early days of the company: prior to our work on Together for Yes, we worked closely with her in her role as Convenor of the Coalition to Repeal the Eighth Amendment.  More recently, we worked with Ailbhe and her colleagues on two projects this year – a press conference to announce that the former co-Directors of Together for Yes had been included on the ‘TIME 100’ list, TIME Magazine’s annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world; and a photocall to mark the one-year anniversary of the referendum that resulted in the Eighth Amendment being repealed.

About the Event Industry Awards

The Event Industry Awards have been running since 2009 to celebrate excellence and showcase the highest standards in Ireland’s events industry.  This was the first time Alice PR entered and was shortlisted in the Awards.

We had a ball celebrating our win on Friday night – with our success made all the more special because of our personal commitment to the ideals and people behind the Together for Yes movement.

That’s the end of awards season (for now!) at Alice PR.  But, already, we’re looking forward to 2020 😊
