Photo Blog: Our Work with the LGBT Helpline at Dublin Pride

We were delighted to work with the LGBT Helpline at the Dublin Pride parade over the weekend.

For the past two years, the Helpline has teamed up with eir to run a positive mental health campaign, 'It's Good to Talk', during Pride.

Our Managing Director, Martina, and Account Manager, Emily, joined the LGBT Helpline and eir on their fabulously colourful float for Saturday's parade.  Our mission was to keep the Helpline's social media platforms up-to-date all day with pics, videos and general information about the organisation's involvement in Dublin Pride.

The theme for Pride this year was 'Find Your Inner Hero', so there were plenty of superhero-themed props on offer.  We've never had so much fun working at a client event - and on a Saturday too! Our Photos from Dublin Pride

Here are some of the photos and videos we captured from the day...

eir had lots of superhero-themed goodies on offer, including capes, eye-masks, wearable bubbles, badges, and a special songbook for Dublin Pride (featuring such classics as 'Respect', 'Dancing Queen', 'It's Raining Men', and 'I Will Survive'!)...

Of course, Martina and Emily wasted no time in discovering their own inner heroes...

Broadcaster Dil Wickremasinghe and her family marched with the LGBT Helpline and eir for Dublin Pride - Dil helped launch the 'It's Good to Talk' campaign earlier this month, moderating a panel discussion on mental health at eir's headquarters.

The parade followed a route past some of Dublin's most iconic landmarks, including St. Patrick's Cathedral and Christchurch, before crossing the Liffey to finish up at Smithfield Square.

In the Pride Village at Smithfield, eir and the LGBT Helpline had an 'igloo' tent, offering superhero selfies, sweets, and a drop-in service for anyone who felt in need of emotional support.

The Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar TD, and his colleague, Minister Frances Fitzgerald, received a warm welcome when they took to the stage at Smithfield, with the Taoiseach pledging to keep a strong focus on LGBT rights throughout his time in office.

Of course, Martina and Emily finished the day with a bit more superhero posing.  Great fun!  It didn't feel like work at all :)
