We're shortlisted in the EMEA Purpose Awards!

Well, the good news keeps on coming for #TeamAlice this week, as we found out today we're shortlisted in the EMEA Purpose Awards!

The Purpose Awards are organised by PR Week - the world's leading PR and comms publication; Campaign - a global business media brand for the marketing, advertising and media communities; and Third Sector - the UK’s leading publication for the charity and voluntary sector.

The Awards "recognise campaigns that use creative ideas successfully to further positive causes, and also acknowledge the organisations behind them". They are are open to agencies, brands, public-sector bodies, charities and NGOs throughout the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) region.

This is the first time Alice PR has ever entered an awards scheme at international level, so we are absolutely thrilled to have been shortlisted on our first attempt! We made the shortlist in the 'Charity / NGO - Best Advocacy Campaign' category for our work on the WorkEqual campaign, the only Irish project to be shortlisted this year.

Followers of Alice will be familiar with WorkEqual: we devised the campaign in 2016 in partnership with our long-standing client, Dress for Success Dublin. Since then, it's been one of the projects closest to our hearts.

WorkEqual aims to raise awareness of gender inequalities in the workplace and develop solutions to address them. Since 2016, the campaign has centred around a month of activities each November, including Equal Pay Day - the date on which women effectively stop earning, relative to men, because of the gender pay gap. Currently, SOLAS and Permanent TSB are sponsors of the campaign.

Today's excitement comes hot on the heels of the news that we are shortlisted for four awards in the 2021 Awards for Excellence in PR, run here in Ireland by the Public Relations Consultants Association and the Public Relations Institute. That shortlist was just announced yesterday. So, all in all, a great week for Alice!
