Success for Alice PR at the 2020 PR Awards
Here at Alice PR, we were delighted to win 'Best PR Event' at the 2020 PR Awards, as well as being highly commended in the 'PRCA Agency of the Year' category.
The annual Awards for Excellence in Public Relations are organised by the Public Relations Consultants Association and the Public Relations Institute of Ireland.
The ceremony for the 2020 Awards took place last Friday (19th June), and we were delighted that, once again this year, there was success for Alice PR.
The 2020 awards ceremony was one with a difference - with hundreds of people tuning in to follow the awards announcements via a live Zoom event, rather than our usual industry get-together in the Mansion House.
Luckily, a number of us from Team Alice live close enough to each other that we were able to meet up to watch the awards ceremony together - the first time we've met each other in real life (rather than on Zoom!) since the Covid-19 restrictions came into effect in March. Best PR Event
We waited excitedly for the 'Best PR Event' category, in which we faced stiff competition from the likes of Dublin City Council, Guinness Ireland and Irish Distillers. We were absolutely thrilled to be announced as winners in this category - for our work on the #WorkEqual conference last November, with Dress for Success Dublin and SOLAS.
Dress for Success Dublin was one of the very first Alice PR clients when we started five years ago - and the team at Dress for Success Dublin - in particular, the amazing trio of Sonya Lennon, Angela Smith and Nuala Smith - are an absolute pleasure to work with, so it means a lot that this award is shared with them.
The #WorkEqual campaign is one that is extremely close to our hearts. We were involved in developing the campaign from scratch in 2016, and we have worked on it - with huge pride and commitment - ever since. The focus of the campaign is on promoting gender equality in the workforce, and campaigning for measures to achieve better gender equality across all types of workplaces in Ireland.
We are currently making plans for the 2020 #WorkEqual conference - and we work on the campaign year-round - so the award received last Friday has given all involved a huge boost. Watch this space for details of all new developments in the #WorkEqual campaign in the months to come...
As well as our success in the 'Best PR Event' category, we were delighted to also be highly commended in the new 'PRCA Agency of the Year' category at the 2020 PR Awards.
Huge thanks to all in the PRII and the PRCA for doing such a great job on the awards ceremony in very unusual and difficult circumstances this year - and for the support they have given us in Alice PR since we were established in 2015.
We look forward to lots more success in the PR Awards - and a return to non-socially-distant get-togethers! - in the years to come.
