In August 2017 we began working with UniBrowse on a short campaign to help raise brand awareness and announce their expansion into the Australian market.
UniBrowse is an online search engine that makes it easier for school students to find college courses. It launched in Ireland in December 2016.
We issued two press releases; one to general media and another to local media (targeting the home counties of each of the four co-founders – Dublin, Kerry and Kilkenny).
We received a lot of pick-up from both releases. Online, UniBrowse was covered on BusinessWorld.ie, Irish Tech News and Silicon Republic, to name a few. The story on Silicon Republic was also the website’s most read story that day.
On radio, there was coverage on stations including Radio Kerry, KCLR FM and Today FM, where co-founder Alan O’Beirne was in studio for an interview on the Sunday Business Show.
Finally, in print, the expansion news was featured in the Sunday Business Post, The Kerryman and the Dublin Gazzette.
UniBrowse were delighted with the coverage received. For such a short campaign, and for a start-up that wasn’t very well-known beforehand, the attention it received was fantastic.
