We’re all about hard work here at Alice, but we like to get out and about and enjoy ourselves from time to time too!  We find that what we’re reading / eating / watching / doing outside of work gives us inspiration and ideas in our professional lives (or at least something to talk about in the office 🙂 ).  From now on, every Friday we’ll share the things that have tickled us over the previous week – be it a book, a song, a restaurant, or anything at all!  Here’s what’s been keeping us entertained this week…

On the screen:

‘The Young Offenders’: Heart-warming and really funny, this new Irish film left us with a super soundtrack in our heads for the week. Highly recommended!

‘Gogglebox Ireland’: We were dubious at first but, two episodes down, we’re positively reassured. Tea and Kimberlys in hand (although the #CavanTwins would argue Gingernuts are the king of telly biscuits), we’re looking forward to the rest of the series!

On the page:

captureMartina’s been reading Dessie O’Malley’s autobiography, ‘Conduct Unbecoming’, and finding it an interesting read.

On the pitch:

Niamh had the pleasure of being in Croke Park for the Ladies Football Final last weekend and was blown away by all the players in each of the three matches.  She feels they don’t get the credit they deserve for the amount of sacrifices they make to get there.

On the table:

We finally checked out the Tram Café on Wolfe Tone Square this week, and can highly recommend it as a very serene spot for lunch – with lovely jazz music playing in the background as we ate!img_5481

And finally…

Modjina has joined us from the States in the last few weeks and has been very pleasantly surprised by the welcome she’s received in Ireland so far.  She says: “From airport staff members to shuttle-bus crew and Dublin citizens, I’m feeling welcome and well taken care of since it was my first experience travelling (and alone)”.  Go Dublin!

Have a great weekend everyone, and let us know in the comments what’s tickled you this week 🙂
