As on every Friday, we’re bringing you Team Alice’s top recommendations and this week is as diverse as ever. We’ve been going international again with a trip to the beautiful city of Amsterdam for Niamh, while Emily, Alice PR & Events’ answer to Bear Grills braved the wilderness in Glendalough. However, the most fun this week was our fabulous founder Martina’s hen party! Here’s #WhatTickled Alice this week.

On the plate

Dinner at pressPRESS Café at the National Print Museum was the venue for Martina’s hen party and did not disappoint with a Mexican themed feast with lots of sea food! It’s a great spot in a beautiful setting, with amazing chef who talked though every course presented!

If you’re heading to Amsterdam any time soon, Niamh recommends Escobar. It has a dark moody atmosphere and incredible food. The pulled pork and pineapple taco and the shrimp paella are particular highlights she tells us, “delish!”

Bartender Coacktails

Darragh popped into Peruke and Periwig at the weekend, and while didn’t technically eat, the JAM-IN with Pampero Especial Rum, Galliano, Peruke’s Mango Jam, Passionfruit, Orange, Lemon, Sherbert was so delicious it could masquerade as a desert any day so it’s making the list!

Out and about

While adventuring in Amsterdam, Niamh fell in love with the city and recommends the boat-brunch tour through the canals as the best way to explore it’s labyrinthine layout, bobbing along while filling up. Beautiful!

Emily, the glutton for punishment that she is, took on Quest’s Glendalough outing involving running and cycling through the Wicklow Mountains and kayaking across the Upper Lake. It’s intense but if you’re the adventurous type, she highly recommends. Their next events take on the Wild Atlantic Way, Achill and Killarney.

Finally, on Wednesday, Niamh packed her notions and headed off to the opera. She went to see Amore, Love, Amour staged by the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. It was a selection of iconic love scenes from different operas and it was mesmerising! The conservatory run many shows and if you’re feeling like you need a little culture in your life, check out their upcoming performances here.

That’s it from #TeamAlice this week. If you have any suggestions that might tickle our fancy let us know below!
