Alice Highly Commended in Large Agency of the Year Award

The annual Awards for Excellence in Public Relations (Public Relations Consultants Association) took place on Friday, 16th June, at the Mansion House in Dublin. One of the most hotly contested categories each year is the PRCA Agency of the Year, under which two awards are presented:

  1. For small agencies (up to 10 employees); and
  2. For large agencies (11+ employees).

We were thrilled to be highly commended in the ‘Large Agency of the Year’ category this year.

This is the third time since the establishment of the award four years ago that Alice has been shortlisted for agency of the year. We were highly commended in the inaugural year (2020) and, in 2021, we won ‘Small Agency of the Year’. Given our growth over the past couple of years, we now fit into the ‘large agency’ categorisation.

We had a super day at the awards ceremony in the Mansion House, celebrating all our work over the past 12 months. A huge congratulations to all our industry colleagues who took home awards and commendations on the day.

MD Address

As current Chair of the Public Relations Consultants Association of Ireland (PRCA), our MD, Martina, was busy throughout the awards ceremony. Hosting the ceremony on behalf of the PRCA, she delivered a welcome address, as well as presenting all winners with their awards.

In her address, Martina noted how PR professionals are typically more likely to be organising and promoting an event, than sitting down enjoying it. “It’s lovely that – once a year – we have this opportunity to come together as a sector; to celebrate our hard work over the past 12 months,” she said.

She also spoke about how the agencies, in-house teams and campaigns shortlisted for awards highlighted the high-quality and important work being done by Ireland’s PR sector.

“We all know that people can sometimes misunderstand, undervalue or even denigrate PR” she said. “But the quality of the shortlisted entries demonstrates the impact of good PR. Our industry helps organisations navigate through difficult times. We build powerful brands and raise awareness of important issues. We combat disinformation and misinformation. And we develop campaigns that result in lasting positive change.”
