It’s back-to-college time and, at Alice PR, we’re no strangers to tutoring, mentoring and training.
We love sharing our expertise with people and so, this autumn, we’re working with a number of companies and organisations to provide training on several topics, including presentation skills, social media, crisis management, media relations and more.
Training in Co. Wicklow 
Course: Social Media Training for Tourism Businesses in Wicklow

Alice PR has been working with Co. Wicklow Partnership throughout 2018 to deliver social media training for tourism businesses in the county. Beginning this month and running through to November, this free course aims to assist tourism businesses to build their social media profiles and gain practical skills, with the aim of attracting more visitors to Wicklow.

Local Enterprise Office Meath
Course: Shooting and Editing Marketing Videos on a Budget
Location: Buvinda House, Dublin Road, Navan
Date: 19th September and 26th October
Trainer: Emily Brennan
This two-day workshop – run by the Local Enterprise Office in Meath – aims to provide participants with a step-by-step guide to producing high-quality video footage for their website using a smart phone. The workshop will also cover how to integrate video into social media platforms and how to create videos using Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat.

Course: Presentation Skills and Online Communications Skills

Course: Making the most of digital online communications

This Carmichael Centre training session aims to help organisations to build or enhance their online presence, including their website and any social media profiles they use. The training includes practical exercises and hands-on support to establish or enhance your organisation’s online profiles. To ensure the training is as interactive and participatory as possible, the number of participants is limited to 10.

This training session – also organised by the Carmichael Centre – aims to help organisations to enhance their presentation skills. The training includes practical exercises and mock presentations with feedback. It is particularly useful for participants who have little presentation experience.
Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Public Participation Network
Course: Communications Workshop
Date: 23rd October

This course – which we’re delivering on behalf of the Carmichael Centre – will cover topics such as:
• Developing a communications plan;
• Identifying your target audience;
• Choosing the right communications channels and tools;
• Writing strong content; and
• How to measure the effectiveness of your communications.

Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Drug and Alcohol Task Force
We’re also working with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Drug and Alcohol Task Force this autumn to deliver training for frontline service-providers in the use of social media to engage at-risk youth. Participants will be selected by the Task Force, and the training will be delivered by our Managing Director, Martina Quinn.
In addition to the topics covered above, we deliver training in political engagement, issues management and crisis communications, and spokesperson skills. We develop tailored training sessions for individuals and organisations, based on their specific needs.
