Another Friday has come around already, and with it comes another edition of #WhatTickledAlice this week. Stay tuned for recommendations of Dublin’s greatest destinations, must-eats, and front-page features, oh my!

Out and About:

Elaine on the front page for cleaning up the beach!-Our very own Elaine spent her weekend cleaning up after messy fellow heatwave beachgoers—and made the front page of her local paper for it! We are so proud of her here at #TeamAlice, keep on fighting the good fight Elaine!
-Emily discovered some new trails near her hometown of Thurles this weekend, and came upon Lough Doire Bhile, a new favourite spot for a walk or run.

Ciara with her niece- so fab!-In celebrating her niece’s 16th birthday, Ciara pampered herself at The Powerscourt Hotel in Wicklow, complete with thermal suites and raspberry sorbet. Ciara, modest as she is, insisted that it is an excellent “once-a-year treat”. Sounds like we would definitely like to go there a lot more than once!

-Although quite long, Katie took a Ring of Kerry bus tour all day Sunday. While the views were gorgeous, her one regret was not seeing Fungie the dolphin, a native of Dingle Bay. Looks like she’ll just have to get out there again to see him!

On the Plate:

Emily lunching in Tipperary-Emily caught up with some old friends in Tipperary this weekend over pulled beef burgers and plenty of summertime side dishes. Her friend that prepared the food is a chef that regularly has pop-ups in Dublin, so we are buzzing in the office to go to one sometime!
-Bri indulged in brunch at Bow Lane on Sunday morning. Bottomless drinks and brunch for only 22 euro? Count us in! Every last Sunday of the month Bow Lane hosts a brunch that is complete with a drag show, and Bri says that she will definitely be in attendance next month!
-Niamh travelled to Howth for some Beshoff’s fish and chips, which was excellent outside of the seagull brazen enough to steal fish right off her friend’s fork!

Celebrating with clients!-Martina, Darragh, Emily and Eva celebrated the referendum result at Roberta’s with one of our clients, Ailbhe Smyth, who is a co-director of Together For Yes as well as a leader of the Coalition to Repeal the Eighth Amendment. It was an excellent dinner, with superb company and the sun shining high over River Liffey.

On the Stage:

The Killers at The RDS- one of Dublin's greatest destinations for concerts!-Emily attended the Killers concert on Tuesday, which brought up waves of nostalgia for her. She says she has loved them since she was a teenager so it was very reminiscent of “all the teenage angst”!

On the Page:

-Ciara just began reading “Promising Young Women” this week, written by Cork native Caroline O’Donoghue. She likes it so far and sees parallels to the office here, but she is expecting it to take a turn for the darker side at any point.

Coming Up:
-The Dublin Pride festival is fast approaching, and our very own Eva is going to be in it! Keep an eye out for her marching with the Green party tomorrow.

-Emily is taking part in the Leinster Loop charity cycle on Sunday – 100km around Kildare, Laois and Carlow. She’s hoping for a slight drop in the temperatures!

Niamh is off on her holliers today for a whole THREE WEEKS and we’re all very jealous!

Have a great weekend- and enjoy the summer weather!
