Are you an entrepreneur, or working in a startup? Want to learn more about what exactly PR is, and how it can benefit your business? Our Managing Director, Martina Quinn, will be giving a workshop on PR basics this Wednesday, 15th March in Glandore’s No. 25 Fitzwilliam Place, Dublin 2 at 6.30pm. The workshop will be hosted by Entrepreneurs Anonymous, who runs regular meet-ups and events for its 12,000-plus members across 15 European cities, and is open to anyone with an interest in business and entrepreneurship. EntAnon started as an accountability group by former students of an entrepreneurship course and has evolved into a coalition where members can meet on a regular basis and explore entrepreneurship together.

Martina was previously invited to speak at one of their events on the topic of ‘Things I Wish I’d Known When I Was Starting Out’. Read back her blog where she shares her learnings here. Tomorrow, she’ll be sharing her top PR tips!

The Irish startup scene has been growing rapidly over the past number of years, and while priorities at the outset revolve around surviving the dog-eat-dog world out there, it’s never a bad time to consider the benefits of PR and how to effectively promote your business.

Tomorrow’s workshop is aimed at those already with little or some knowledge of PR, and will provide some practical advice and tips on how to promote your work and engage with the media and target audiences.

The workshop will cover:

  • What is PR?
  • Identifying PR Opportunities
  • Key PR Tools (including how to draft a press release)
  • PR on a Shoestring

The workshop is being hosted by Glandore Flexible Workspaces, an Irish company offering fully fitted, flexible office, coworking and meeting spaces in Dublin and Belfast. Find out more about Glandore here, and more about tomorrow’s workshop here: http://entanon.com/event?eventid=237651480.
