Success for Alice at 2024 Awards for Excellence in PR

Alice took home two overall award wins from the 2024 Awards for Excellence in Public Relations, which were held on Friday, 21st June 2024, in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 2. In addition to the two overall wins, we were also highly commended in the Large Agency of the Year (16 or more employees) category.

The awards, which have been co-hosted by the Public Relations Consultants Association Ireland (PRCA) and Public Relations Institute of Ireland (PRII) for over 30 years, recognise the best in Irish public relations, public affairs and internal communications across the public and private sectors.

Launch of Ireland’s National Ukrainian Choir Alice was announced overall winner of the award for Best Communications Campaign by a Registered Charity / Not-For-Profit / Non-Governmental Organisation for our work on the Launch of Ireland’s National Ukrainian Choir, which we carried out with Fingal local development company Empower, working with Cavan County Local Development Company and Irish Local Development Network.

Outlining why this campaign was selected as overall winner in this category, the judges said: “The winning entry was an uplifting and inspiring campaign that found its voice in the Ukrainian community in Ireland. It had solid results and was good value for money and generated a sense of belonging and pride amongst a marginalised group, allowing them to champion the vital role that multiple agencies play in providing essential services.”

This is MIE At Friday’s ceremony, we were also announced overall winner in the Best Integrated Campaign category for our work on ‘This is MIE: An Integrated Campaign Promoting Marino Institute of Education’.

Outlining why this was selected as overall winner in the Best Integrated Campaign category, the judges said: “The outstanding campaign was multi-faceted, using the core values of the client to address a potential issue and deliver outstanding results with PR as the driver in an integrated and well-thought-out campaign.”

Success for ETBI We were delighted also to see our client, Education and Training Boards Ireland (ETBI), win the overall award in the Best Internal Communication category for its ‘ETB Day 2023: Celebrating Education & Training Boards’ campaign, which Alice is very proud to have worked on with them.

Commenting on our success at this year’s awards, founder and CEO of Alice, Martina Quinn , who is also the incumbent PRCA Ireland chair, said: “We are delighted with this recognition for our work with great clients on important topics. Our campaign with MIE was all about encouraging more people to consider primary-school teaching as a career – something that will safeguard the future success of our education system. The launch of the Ukrainian National Choir, meanwhile, was a really special project that played a significant role in helping Ukrainian refugees to integrate into local communities here in Ireland.

“Every year, the PR Awards – across all categories – demonstrate the impact of good PR and the expertise and talent that exists within our sector. We are always proud to attend, and we send our congratulations to all those who were winners at the event.”
