It has been a very busy few weeks for #TeamAlice working on some super exciting upcoming events in Dublin and beyond. They are not ones you want to miss so be sure to put the dates in your diary!
First up we have AONTAS’s Adult Learner’s Festival. The festival will take place from the 5th – 9th March 2018 and will be a celebration of lifelong learning through a myriad of information sessions, taster workshops and sample lectures, all hosted by community groups and education organisations. The STAR Awards (Showcasing Teamwork, Awarding Recognition) will also take place as part of the festival and will celebrate the positive contribution that these projects make to individual adult learners, local communities and wider society. We have been busy launching the festival with an Alice PR favourite Marty Morrissey (some of us are particularly thrilled, eh Emily?)!
Outdoor Revolution on the 24th and 25th of May will be getting Ireland active promoting health and fitness outside the stuffy confines of the gym. The two-day event takes place in the RDS and will include motivational speakers, big names in the sporting world, free classes, cooking demos, and much more! We’re looking forward to learning about and trying out the many options available when it comes to getting active outdoors! We have been in overdrive in Alice HQ getting the word out to Ireland’s active and soon to be active communities about why Outdoor Revolution is not to be missed. Not one you should miss either, so put it in your diary!
Dress for Success’ International Women’s Day campaign is also fast approaching, on the 8th of March. #TeamAlice will be spreading out across the city to visit just some of the many generous businesses who are hosting events in support of the charity. There will be TED Talk screenings, panel discussions, clothing and perfume collections, coffee mornings, head shot masterclasses and wine! We’re particularly excited about learning to take the best head shots (i.e. professional selfies). It’s shaping up to be a busy day, but we’ll be working with some of our favourite people like Sonya Lennon, Sorcha Pollack and Roisin Ingle. We’ll also be working hard making sure that we’re catching every memorable moment on Dress for Success’ social media so be sure to keep an eye on there!
On 12th and 13th May we’ll be putting our runners and yoga pants back on for WellFest. We have been working with this event for the past few years and we just love working with the WellFest team! We’ve been rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of the fitness, health and wellness world like Joe Wicks, the Happy Pear, John Kavanagh, and many more. This year will be no different, seeing the return of Joe Wicks, and for the first time, TV presenter turned fitness guru Davina McCall will be joining the line up! We’re also very excited about the expansion of the festival which is moving to a new home, Royal Hospital Kilmainham.
It’s going to be a very busy few months, and #TeamAlice can’t wait!
